Seen:
Your typical Berkeley street punk kid, 17 or 18, spiky hair, spiky jewelrey, tattoos, etc, standing on the balcony of Pauly ballroom... blowing bubbles, while 5 children playing on the plaza below ran shrieking and gigging below, trying to catch the bubbles.

Thank you God! ::shakes her head:: Ok. I have a 'hawk and several other weird things about me. If my friends and I tried that where I live, I think we'd get shot. What a beautiful image...I love being a punk! And I agree with Desree (sp?) punkrock boys are where it's at.

At a wedding reception I attended recently, they had a box of toys there for the kids. Included in the box were several bottles of bubbles. In the end, the adults all had a great time hanging off the balcony blowing the bubbles, while the kids had a great time running around in them. Yes, I empathize with the punk boy.

I don't know about you guys, but I think I'm in love with that punk boy. *sigh*

I also find punk boys with all their piercings and dyed hair INCREDIBLY sexy when they're on the bus, then they whip out a novel and read.

Oh yes. Bring it on....uh..erm..yes.

Hey, I'd fully expect it from somebody who looked like that before a normal person. Most people not in a bad mood enjoy kids, but somebody like that is obviously unself-conscious enough to do it in public. I, myself, am fairly preppy, but one of the nicest, most courteous guys I know has over 30 piercings on his head alone.

Maybe a woman could get away with playing with random kids on their own level, but if *I* did that, it would be maybe three seconds before I got arrested as a suspected pedophile. It's "Pied Piper" syndrome or something: strange adult males are *not* allowed to just spontaneously mingle and play with children. Hell, after a while, the parents of one of those kids in the original comment probably dragged their kid away. "Don't touch those! They're filled with his breath... he's probably been smoking the marijuana or something!"

The really sad thing about this little tirade is that I'm not feeling *especially* negative today... this is just the way I *am*. :^)

Bubbles are so much fun...
Have you ever tried doing that yourself, just going some place, like a park, totally overrun with kids and blowing bubbles at them? I enjoy it.
