Where I've been?

I've been everywhere, man. I trekked the canals of Mars for kicks.

Actually, I've just been busy. And will be going away again tomorrow to house-and-cat-sit for my sister.

But I do feel loved.

Hmm. I watched the first episode of "FL" and was moderately impressed... that was not the best TV season ever, and I was looking for new options. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough for me to go hunting for the few other episodes that were aired. *shrug*

I remember the show, though I didn't get to see it much, even in the short space it was on (both stations that carried it also carried their favorite baseball teams, and both usually played on Tuesdays). I think originally they intended to bring it back later, but I don't know if they still mean to or not. Or when.

a result of watching a demonic tv station.

Hey, a fellow freaker. The absence of the show has left a great void in the world, but there are some things that help fill it. Freakopedia is one, and Freaky Research is the other big one. In fact, Freaky research is how I found this site.

Hurdy Gur.

triticale, that's the cheater's way! Besides, if you want to put more than one link in a post...

<a href="/index.html">In Passing</a> would be the written-out html form for creating a link within a post. You'd end up with just the link visible, like this:
In Passing.

Make sure you preview, because any little mistake in spacing or punctuation can mess up the link.

And, to return to topic, I've been told to be a secret Santa, but screw that: I spend my money on toys for me.

(Alternative lame joke: "I've been told to be a secret Wil Wheaton..." Heh. Sorry, I got nothin'.)

Links are easy. Just put them in the namelink field, labelled URL, between your addy and the comment.

Archived comment by Mike:
You use
<b> </b>
<em> &lt/em>
to create bold and italics in your posts. (<i> used to work, but it changed to <em> for some reason.)

Then there's the links thing, but I'm too brain-dead to explain that one properly right now.

Karin,
You're a victim of the evil HTML tag interpreter. IP (as you probably know) has been shown to support some subset or other of HTML, so people can link or bold or whatever. Problem is that a lot of parsers try and interpret *everything* between pointy brackets as an HTML tag. Tags that it doesn't recognize (like everything after your opening less-than) just don't get displayed since, after all, they're tags. Silly, huh?
There's a reason Eve gives us the "preview" button, tho.

Okay, not sure exactly what happened there. Here is what it should say...

We had a math proctor once write "You have x minutes left for this exam where 45 (less than or equal to) x (less than or equal to) 60" and he changed the numbers before and after x. It was sort of confusing.

Any one know why it won't let me use the open and closed brackets (above the comma and period)?
