I know a lot of women who find that type of woman attractive, too. However, there is a difference between 'trudge' and 'hike.' By the end of the hiking day, when you're trudging along and hoping to find a good camp spot, nobody is sexy. That sweet ass in front of you becomes just something to follow so you don't have to waste energy looking around for the trail.

It really depends on viewpoint, a couple guys I know find women in hiking boots, flannel shirts & jeans or shorts incredibly attractive. I think it's the fitness image. Plus, considering how what silk long johns are like, that can be pretty sexy too.
