"I've been coming to this pizza place since I was a kid, and the bathroom has always smelled like bubble gum. I wonder why?"

Hey, you know, I did hear that gum is made of some resin that your body can't break down... and I guess a pizza place would have more than the usual number of bubble-gum chewing kids passing through... maybe she really was smelling "used" bubble gum!
Wow, I've just destroyed my own appetite.

Maybe it's the *writer* who smells like gum?

I'm not a big fan of "nice" smelling bathroom cleaners, myself. Partially, I think the antiseptic smell does a better job of luring me into believing the bathroom is actually clean. Second of all, I don't want to smell cinnamon or bubble gun later and associate it with (ugh) a public restroom.

Some cleaners are actually engineered to smell *nice* rather than antiseptic. I myself favor a cinnamon-smelling one. I remember the bubblegum smelling ones, though. I think they're great, it's just too bad you're not normally able to purchase them at your local supermarket.
