"Ivan is a froot bat!"
--Written on the wall in the women's restroom of Au Coquelet Cafe
You know, I'm starting to suspect that, subconsciously, I'll choose certain cafes over others to study at, when I feel the graffiti section is a little low. I wonder if that's cheating?

I could swear that I saw the exact same thing written on a washroom wall of the Cheesecake Cafe somewhere in Calgary, Canada. Not kidding.

I think that is a reference to a Monty Python's Flying Circus sketch about Eric the Fruit Bat. Maybe the person was spelling phonetically (sp) or ....maybe not.

This is what happens when kids pay more attention to CEREAL BOXES than to school!

I wish I had actually decided to write down some of the interesting etchings I came across while I was at CMU. They were definitely...interesting.

I don't think you're cheating. I've found that now that I've read every last word on this site, that I can't encourage you enough, to post as many 'excerpts' from your day-to-day experiences as possible, WHEREVER they happen to come from. It truly is an interesting window into another person's existence, in another part of this world we live in. I have it 'bookmarked', and must confess I check in everyday just to see what's new and weird out there.....

Keep up the fine work you're doing - it is enjoyed....

AP :)
