Was it the pet rock idea you didnt get or fads themselves? I'm oblivious to why anyone buys something purely because it is currently fashionable to own it. Call me old fashion, but I like my things to last more than a single season.

I don't know, that pet rock i had in the 70's could roll over, attack upon command and play dead. I'm not sure you could get that from any old rock off the street.
