FYI--Jesus is apparently alive and well and living in upstate New York. I would have thought he'd choose to come back in a warmer place...maybe one that sees the sun for more than three months out of the year.

We have a cult near my own hometown. They believe that their friend, Dan, is the reincarnation of Christ. Dan is an easy-going guy, so this makes life easy for them--whenever they have a moral crisis, they call Dan and ask him what he wants them to do; whenever they have an arguement, they call up Dan and ask him who's in the right. Of course, the sad part is, if you haven't met Dan (like the 99.9999% of the world that doesn't live in Dove Creek), then you're going to Hell.

I've always wondered why people start cults...aside from using them to get money from gullible people, that is. Maybe they just get bored one day, can't come up with anything else to do, and start thinking, "I'll bet I could get babes if I were the Messiah." So they start printing signs, like this guy, or they make a website, or start preaching on street corners...it's probably a lot easier than it looks to round up a group of disciples.
