"I should be a humanities major instead. There are hardly any hot chicks in this class."
"Yeah, maybe it'll be better in upper-division."
--Two guys in my computer science class
Oh boys... If you only knew. At least in this class, "hot" or not (and that's subjective), the female to male ratio is about 1:2. When you get into upper division, you'll likely be thrilled to see a girl, period.

UMR is not exactly known for its high percentage of female students. I have no idea what the current ratio is, but it tends to currently average between 5-10:1 males to females.

Huh, last I heard, our campus ratio is 2:3 male to female. The joy of a Liberal Arts college (w/ a kick butt virtual reality development program), I guess.

I don't want to see a girl's period.

Um, rather, the ratio of males to females is 3:1, silly me.
But you know what I meant.
Wow, a 1:10 ratio---that beats me out...

Man, I would kill for a 1:3 ratio. In Computer Science at my school, two of our twenty or so CS majors are female!

Yeah, I think I know something about what it's like...the male to female ratio on our campus is something like 1:3 and it does thin out the deeper you go into a given program/major. At this point, I'm lucky if I see a couple girls in a given class.
