Yeah yeah..... accessories samples
Brain samples
Nothing like a well oiled brain I always say.
Well, not always, only when I'm dealing with a well lubricated medulla oblongata.
a slippery sensory organ...so to speak.

ohhhhh, THIS is the denial thread! someone's sister was wondering why someone didn't defend herself. well, i missed it, sorry. tim, all that's fine, but all at once?? i prefer to be complicated without props. after all, i want to be loved for my mind, not my accessories.

Yes steff - we're here all week, 2 shows a night, matinee on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Parental Unit, Joe Napalm and tim comedy trio. Puns, political discourse and learned opinions. Plus Hamster jokes! (Monk keeps trying to join the act but is always distracted by some 'sweet young thang' and never makes it to rehearsal).

No way Cebu, veal is yummy.

And I can't believe Monk missed a chance to post after you talking about how he likes all his beef underaged like veal. Seemed like a perfect innuendo (a word, which in and of itself contains innuendo) opportunity to me.

Nice one PU
I love puns.
but unfortunately it also reminds of a Talking Heads lyric
" Did I forget, forget to mention Memphis,
Home of Elvis and the ancient greeks,
What do I smell. I smell home cooking
It's only the river
It's only the river"
Now back to your normally scheduled reality.

exactly, she beat me to it. partner implies that we're both to blame. =) i'm not really any good at giving orders anyway - i prefer to make requests that seem to compelling to argue with.

But PUnit, I've always taken "partner" as more of a an equal footing sort of thing and I'm always happy to share blame contrary to the popular belief that I am unable to share anything. *L*

We have all KINDS of weird euphemisms up here in the Flatlands.

Archived comment by Parental Unit:
But Katrina - You ARE the PIC, are you not? So you only do what steff tells you, so blaming steff for the bucket is appropriate; you're just 'following orders'.

And can you really jitterbug? Is THAT what they call it up in Sask?

Shore leave, Parental Unit. If I'm not back in by Tuesday at 10:00 p.m., steff whips out the boots and paddle and... um... suddenly this doesn't sound very much like punishment.

I was lucky enough to catch some tapings of "Kids" when I used to live in the Big Smoke. Complete with live performances of the theme song by Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet. Fun stuff for sure.

They're funnier live (as I supposed most comics are) because they get to use all the words that the CBC never let them go to air with.

If you like Corky, you should also check out The Arrogant Worms. Same sort of musically themed biting social commentary.

And I totally agree Kat - Mercer was the best thing on "22". It's not going to be the same show now that's he's off.

Love Corky And The Juice Pigs. And Sean Cullen, as a solo artist, about dislocated my rapidly dropping jaw with his "Food Of Your Choice."

And 90% of Kids In The Hall is funnier than than the best 25% of Saturday Night Live (in the last 20 years).

Fair, not so much Kids but I LOVE 22 minutes! They have a real biting sense of ha ha that I love. My favorite? Rick Mercer's streeters. Oh and "Talking to Americans"! I kill myself laughing at that every time, or shake my head in sadness because they find the most clueless people. Sad sad sad. *L*

Actually PU the " swordfish" routine was first used in " Horsefeathers"
and later the Secret Woid was used on both the radio and TV show.
Groucho died the same week as Elvis and because of that his death was overshadowed a bit.
Being a Huge Groucho/Marx Bros. fan I always felt bad about that.

My Favorite Groucho song:

" Today, Father is Father's day
And we're giving you...a tie
It's not much you know
It's just our way of showing you
We think you're a regular guy.
You say that it was nice of us to bother
But it really was a pleasure to fuss
Because according to our mother....your our Father
And that's good enough for us
And that's good enough for us"

Archived comment by Parental Unit:
Sorry Jon - No cool pts., or close but no cigar. I was thinking of the secret word from Groucho's TV show (Swordfish). And no I'm not old enough to have seen it, but I have seen that bit and Alan Alda used to often do a Groucho bit on MASH.

I did see Groucho in person once. He was walking to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion once (for a ceremony in his honor a few months before he died). He walked right by us and I wouldn't have known who it was if my friend Mike (who was a theatre nut) recognized him.
