Me describing Paris Hilton's age and Eve's response.
Said to Eve and her brother at a recent dinner. She never wants to post things I say or hear, so here it is, in total obscurity.

"So what makes those people so special? Even George Lucas is waiting in this line".

-- said by a guy 2 people back of me at the Marin County Fair in the Ferris Wheel line. And what he was referring to was the guys running the ferris wheel were letting their buddies on through the exit line so that they didn't have to wait in the 40 minute line. And yes George Lucas himself was about 10 people behind me in this line, being patient and not making eye contact with anyone.

Though this happened waaaay back on the 4th of July I could never convince my daughter to put it on the 'front' page. So I finally decided to post it myself in total obscurity where no one will ever see it.

So I figured I'd share a story about my baby daughter. When she was very young and first learning to talk she'd often 'make up' words to fit what she was talking about. (flashlight. She looks at me quizically and says (with a note of triumph in her voice) flashnah!. And she's thrilled that it goes on when you push the switch.
