Sounds like someone is worried about ending up in Gitmo as a terrorist. After all, only the politicians who armed Iraq in the first place have a good excuse for having skaken Hussein's hand....

You have to be careful about that sort of thing.

What's the deal with shaking hands, anyway? Is it true that handshakes started off as a way for people to prove that they were unarmed? Bah. Most of the people I've met who instantly went for the handshake turn out to be pretty sleazy. It's not a shortcut to trust, you grease-palmed jerk! It's not a thumb-wrestling match, either. Jeez, where's the sanitizer?

And that's worked SO well for people! We should just start every conversation with strangers with the spoken phrase "I don't plan to kill you right now!" and go from there. It's not like it would be any more absurd or ineffective.
