"Man, Kiss-A-Carnie would HAVE to be the least popular booth at the fair."

Oh boy, I hope that was theoretical.

theoretical is better than rhetorical, but I would use hypothetical.

This brings to mind the Austin Powers comment about carnies, and their big hands and smell of cabbages.

Well, 'rhetorical' is a word that could fit in that place, but it would have a slightly different meaning than what I intended.

rhetorical \Rhe*tor"ic*al\, a. [L. rhetoricus, Gr. ????. See {rhetoric}

adj 2: concerned with effect or style of writing and speaking; "a rhetorical question is one asked solely to produce an effect (especially to make an assertion) rather than to elicit a reply" [ant: {unrhetorical}]

Theoretical \The`o*ret"ic*al\, a. [Gr.
?: cf. L. theoreticus, F. th['e]or['e]tique.]
Pertaining to theory; depending on, or confined to, theory or speculation; speculative; terminating in theory or learning; theoretic sciences. -- {The`o*ret"ic*al*ly}, adv.

Perhaps my usage is totally wrong. Either way, let me re-phrase that:
"Oh boy, I hope that was only speculation."
