My philosophy prof: "My God can beat up your God!"

He was referring to the attitude of the Hebrews in the Old Testament. It amused me.

There's a great line in Conan the Barbarian about why Crom is the best god, but I can't remember it clearly. Constarnit!

Ah, the old, 'kids in the sandbox' explanation for how monotheism got started:
"My god is better than your god."
"He is not. My god is more powerful than anything in this world."
"Oh, yeah? My god made the world."
"Whatever. My god made everything. Including your god, who's really just an errand boy."
