Nutrasweet is a brand name for aspertame. They still use it in Pepsi One and you can still tase it. Or at least I can. My dad loves the crud. I\'ll just drink fewer regular Cokes than have lots of chemical tasting \"diet\" soda. Now for the bio lecture: Aspertame containes phenothailene (sp?). There is a genetic disorder abreviated PKU (can\'t remember the full name) where the body can\'t break down phenothailene properly and it builds up in the tissues and causes all kinds of horrible complications and eventually death. This is why if you actually look at a can of diet soda or the like you\'ll see a warning about people with PKU (phenol-keto something-or-other) staying away from it.
OK, bio lecture over.
