I don't think umrguy was associating his first comment that closely with his second. Which is to say, he was making generalizations about fine examples of British culture. Besides, if you want to get specific, which part of London? East End is vastly different from West End and the North is different from the South. Plus Michael Palin has a different accent than John Cleese, and Terry Gilliam isn't even British!
