You've probably seen ravens. They've become like weeds in the west. Three ways to tell the difference: ravens are substantially larger than crows, ravens have a kind of ruff of feathers on their throats that sticks out a bit, and ravens have a slight wedge-shape to the end of their tails, while crows tails are flatter across the end.

I'd say "end bio-geek mode" here, but in truth, it's a perpetual state for me.
