It seems to me, from what I've read, that most gay people aren't interested in "separate but equal" -- they just want equal.
Another problem is people who line up to yell obscenities at newly-married gay couples. If those people were honest, they would admit that it's not gay marriage they're against. They really just want gay people to not exist. IMHO.
