For the most part I agree with you ParU, but I wouldn't be as enthusiastic that the amendment will be so easily blocked. Yes, it is a long and arduous process, but I still think that something so personal does not require a redefinition in constitutional law. I'm not educated in the law, though, so I may be mistaken.
