So OK, let's pretend a law/amendment is passed, clarifying a state marriage and a..."traditional" marriage, for lack of better terms.
Who, then could qualify for adopting children? Note I did not say "having" children, but actually going through the adoption process. Would a state-marriage qualify as a household? Would it be a factor? Should it be a factor? I don't just mean for homosexual couples, but for any situation--the friends that want to support each other, for instance--what if they want to adopt kids? Is this a stable enough household? What if only one of people involved wants to adopt? Does the other get a say?
