Several things

Yesterday I was shopping in a converted Victorian mansion here in town. Converted into a very large selection of shops and such, that is. They've maintained the structure of the rooms, for the most part, so you can still see the housiness of it. Aaaanyway, I was up in the attic ballroom area and the instant I walked in I gasped, and said, out loud, "Now, THIS is an attic!" and then proceeded to have a running commentary with myself about how I'd like to find an apartment like this and isn't this perfect and look! a window, and I would put a little screen here, etc., etc.. There was no one else up there at the time, and I was mumbling a bit...I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse. Anyway, I thought of Steff and Joe. And now I'll think of Mike too.

Also, speaking of semi-psychotic things we do, I have a recommendation to make to all members of this site, especially the female version. Find a copy of "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin de Becker and read it. Seriously. It's fascinating and, I think, one book that every woman should read, though applicable to men, too. I picked it up on a very similar recommendation and I'm quite glad I did. In fact, if I can, I'm going to get a copy for all of my female friends. So, there ya go.

Oh, look, just two things, not several.
Over the Rhine is in a Jon Favreau film!
