I worked at a gas station for a few years (with my non-IP-friend Mike, as it happens), and I saw that happen over and over and over. No matter if we posted signs, screamed at them over the stupid static intercom thingy, or whatever. Watched quite a few run them through our car wash, too. There we were on the other side of the wash, just waiting for our pump nozzle. *sigh* Most were the normal stupid idiots who shouldn't have been driving cars, but a couple were because they were trying to make a fast getaway. (Drive offs are very common.)
