Taragirl, I'm on the opposite end of that all the time. If I got paid a dollar for every minute of tech support I've done for friends, family, and coworkers, I'd be a wealthy man.
Example: *phone rings* "Hello? Oookay, and when did you do this? Okay, then there's still a chance you can get it back. Go to the Recycle Bin. Yeah, it says, 'Norton Protected Recycle Bin.' No, don't double-click on it. Yeah, all that junk you're seeing won't help you. Cancel that. Now right-click once. You see the option that says 'Explore'? Click that. Yeah, left-click. Okay, you see the files you accidentally deleted? Good. Now select those by dragging the mouse. Now go up to where it says File and choose Restore. That'll put them back on the Desktop."
